Laura Wienpahl

M.Sc. Regenerative Energiesysteme (TU Berlin)

Former Researcher

Info

Laura Wienpahl was a researcher in the RLI Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy from June 2018 until the end of May 2021. She worked on the simulation, optimization, and analysis of energy systems with renewable energy as well as on regional e-mobility concepts. Her main research interest was (e-)mobility with hydrogen and its integration into the energy system.

Laura has already been working at RLI since June 2017 as a student assistant and wrote her master's thesis titled “Simulation and analysis of the use of an electrolysis-system as an energy storage in a mini-grid” in context of her work at RLI. For this, she examined the economic and ecologic consequences of an electrolysis system. She studied in the master's degree program Renewable Energy Systems at TU Berlin als also holds a bachelor’s degree in Energy and Process Engineering from TU Berlin. For her bachelor's thesis, she examined the viscosity of substrates from biogas production.
