DIW Berlin’s BELEC conference

The 3rd Berlin Conference on Energy and Electricity Economics (BELEC) will take place at the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW Berlin) on October 13th 2016 in Berlin. This year’s title is “Towards a Lower Carbon Energy System in Germany, Europe, and world-wide – Market Design, Technologies, and Business Models”. To this end, it brings together cutting-edge academic research and policy analyses on the economics of energy markets from the perspectives of academics, utilities, and policymakers. It aims at a deeper understanding and exchange of ideas and perspectives on the various sectors, including theoretical approaches as well as policy and case studies.

RLI managing director Kathrin Goldammer will talk about business models for Renewable Energies and storage as well as about regulation. She will give an overview about the current state of research and practical experiences.
