Myanmar Off-Grid Renewable Energy Demonstration Project

Within this project, a geospatial data assessment for least cost electrification planning and site identification for mini-grids was conducted.

The project area covers the dryland region of Myanmar in the states Magway and Mandalay and the Sagaing Region. Main tasks within the project were a data collection and data processing as well as resource assessment to identify potential sites for mini-grid electrification.

The project was part of the larger ADB-funded Myanmar Off-Grid Renewable Energy Demonstration Project.

The project's main result is an interactive web map by which users can view the current state of electrification in Myanmar and filter potential sites for off-grid solutions according to specific key data.
