Simon Hoffmann was a student assistant in the research field Mobility with Renewable Energy at RLI from October 2017 until July 2018. He was enrolled in the master's degree program Sustainable Energy Technologies at Instituto Superior Técnico in Lisbon. In context of his work for the project “ArguMap”, he wrote a thesis examining and mapping the pros and cons of fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV) compared to battery electric vehicles (BEV) and their correlations.

Simon holds a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Darmstadt specializing in water management and urban infrastructure planning.
