This year’s 25th annual conference of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists is being held as a virtual conference due to the Corona pandemic. On June 25th, Philipp Blechinger, Head of the RLI Research Unit Off-Grid Systems, will be a panelist in the session “Policy Session: Electricity Access and the Low-Carbon Energy Transformation – Can Mini-Grids Favor the Move from Diesel to Solar Electricity?”
The session brings together the academic and policy aspects of rural electrification planning. Philipp will report on ongoing research projects on the topic and work with the other participants on possible short and long-term strategies for electrification with renewable energy.
