Bharadwaj Narasimhan

M.Sc. Electrical Engineering (Hochschule Darmstadt)

Former Researcher

Info

Bharadwaj had been working as a researcher in the Transformation of Energy Systems field at RLI from December 2017 to May 2019. He worked with renewable energy system integration, among his core competences was the analysis of distribution systems with a high share of renewable energy. He was among others associated with the open_eGo project, where he was responsible for the modelling and simulation of the electrical energy system and their components in Python. His major research interest was the optimization of expansion and reinforcement of distribution systems with power flows from renewable energy systems.

Before joining RLI, Bharadwaj worked as electrical engineer – R&D at Energynautics GmbH. He was part of many national and international distribution system studies involving the integration of renewable energy systems in medium and low voltage networks.

Bharadwaj holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and wrote his master’s thesis about state estimation in Smart Grids. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology, India. Bharadwaj is fluent in English, German, and Hindi and Tamil.
