Jonas was at RLI between April 2016 and December 2016. Initially as an intern, later as a student assistant, he was part of the team working on the eGo project, where he focussed on the analysis of German low voltage power networks. While he studied geoinformatics at the University of Jena, Jonas has acquired knowledge in dealing with GIS Software, database creation, as well as programming skills in python and R amongst others. In September 2016 he began writing his Master’s thesis, which aims at creating a model to reproduce the German low voltage power network out of OpenStreetMap data.
