Malte Jahn had been a research associate in the research unit Transformation of Energy Systems at RLI from August 2022 until May 2023. Before that, he was already working as a student assistant at RLI from 2021. He wrote his master's thesis at Technical University of Berlin on the spatial complexity reduction of distribution grids. At the RLI, he was working in the eGo^n project where he was further developing the eDisGo toolbox.

Malte received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Berlin. In his studies he focused on electrical grids. Besides his work at the RLI, he is involved in the German Red Cross.
