Wale Arowolo has been a visiting researcher in the Off-Grid Systems team at RLI in January and February 2018. He is currently a PhD candidate in Energy Economics (with specialization in Market Design and Regulation) at Paris Sud University, France and supported RLI’s research on renewable energy in Nigeria.

Wale has an interdisciplinary background in Engineering, Economics, and Policy Analysis. He holds master’s degrees in Electric Power Industry from Pontifical Comillas University, Madrid, Spain and Engineering and Policy Analysis from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.

He is an energy economist and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with cumulative nine years professional experience in the banking and energy industry. In the latter, he works on power and gas infrastructure projects in the upstream and mid-stream oil and gas services industry.
