Arnold Wasike was a student assistant in the research unit Off-Grid Systems at RLI from May 2019 until the end of May 2021. He was enrolled in the master's degree program Remote Sensing, Geo-information and Visualization at the University of Potsdam. Arnold supported the team through analysis of spatial data and semi-automation of GIS processes using R and QGIS, feeding into energy simulation models.
Arnold holds a bachelor's degree in Geo-spatial Engineering from the University of Nairobi. Apart from his work at RLI, he has moderated seminars on the use of spatial technologies in renewable energy exploration and distribution in Kenya and currently volunteers as a mentor in the Kenya Music Project.
