31.01. | Fact Shower: “Power outage & blackout – How safe is our power system in Germany?”

Ricardo Reibsch, fellow at the Graduate School of Reiner Lemoine Foundation at the RLI, will again be a guest at the Fact Shower, an online dialogue organized by the Brandenburg Youth Forum for Sustainability. Ricardo will speak on the topic of power outages & blackouts and present results of a short study.

In a keynote speech, he will explain the difference between a blackout and a power outage and address other questions such as: How does a blackout occur? What are causes of power outages? How likely is it that power outages will occur in Germany? How secure is the German power supply really? And what does this have to do with Russia and France? This will be followed by a discussion with the participants.
