Izzet Kilicarslan was an intern at the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems at RLI from September 2019 until the end of May 2020. He studied Industrial Engineering - Energy Management at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and supported the team in the development of a comprehensive ontology for energy system analyses.
Izzet holds a bachelor's degree in energy management and technology from Landshut University of Applied Sciences. He was particularly interested in power generation technologies from renewable energy and the German energy market. In his bachelor thesis, he examined the energetic consumption of variothermal temperature control units at the BMW AG for the production of foamed plastic exterior components.
