Monika Orlowski had been a student assistant in the Research Unit Transformation of Energy System at RLI from December 2020 until March 2023. She was enrolled in the masters's degree program Integrated Natural Resource Management at HU Berlin.

For her bachelor's degree "Environmental Science" at TU Berlin, Monika wrote her thesis within the RLI-roject FlexMex. There she investigated the use of different flexibility options with increasing shares of renewable energies in the energy system model oemof-flexmex.

Monika supported the team in the context of the FlexMex- and the UMAS-projects.
