Roberto Pineda worked as a student assistant in the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems from March to May 2019. He was enrolled in the master’s degree program Process, Energy, and Environmental Systems Engineering at TU Berlin and supported the team with model creation and visualization.

Roberto holds a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universidad Industrial de Santander in Columbia. For his final thesis, he developed a linear model for the optimization of ethanol synthesis from sugar cane bagasse. After graduation, he gained work experience in the chemical and energy industry. In addition to his work at RLI, he worked as a consultant for energy efficiency and sustainable development projects.
