Kathrin Goldammer takes on lectureship at HTW Berlin

27. April 2023 | RLI Managing Director Kathrin Goldammer will offer an elective module in the summer semester 2023 as an adjunct lecturer in the Renewable Energies program at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HTW). Today, the lecture started with the title: “Economic Aspects of the Use of Renewable Energies.”

Kathrin will speak in four individual dates as a block course about various topics related to the energy market, such as the merit order principle, emissions trading, the promotion of renewable energies or gas trading. Participants will also learn presentation skills and basics about start-ups in the energy industry.

Students will be empowered to form their own opinions on the content discussed and to participate in discussions. In this way, they can prepare themselves for jobs in think tanks, energy and climate NGOs, in energy industry policy or in systemic energy research, for example.

As the managing director of a research institute and founder of the software company Localiser, Kathrin would like to share her knowledge and experience from the energy sector as part of the teaching assignment. Kathrin is undertaking this role in addition to her roles at the RLI and Localiser.

The RLI already has historical ties with the HTW: After its founding in 2010, the institute was established in the immediate vicinity of the HTW at the Oberschöneweide location and the first two managing directors were two HTW professors, Jochen Twele and Peter Kayser.
