Three questions for: Trainee Anna Glaum
August 19, 2025 | Anna Glaum is a mechanical engineer and spends three months at RLI. She is a trainee at the network operator 50Hertz. As part of a cooperation between the company and RLI, Anna is gaining insights into the research work at RLI during her traineeship.
We asked Anna three questions about her stay at RLI.
What is your first impression of the Reiner Lemoine Institute?
My colleagues at RLI have given me a very warm welcome. In general, I find the atmosphere here to be very friendly and open. I like the dual leadership concept, which ensures that there is always someone available to talk to. I am also pleased to see how many different clients consult RLI to achieve or even exceed their climate goals.
What are you working on during your stay at RLI?
During my stay at RLI, I am supporting the mobility team in a project for the German Center for Rail Transport Research. The aim is to determine the potential use of generation capacities and storage capacities for network services across all modes of transport.
What are your goals for your time at RLI?
My goal for my time at RLI is, of course, to contribute to the above-mentioned project. At the same time, I am excited to learn what role my employer, 50Hertz, plays in the energy transition from RLI’s perspective and to what extent this may differ from or correspond to my internal perception at 50Hertz.
We thank Anna for her support and wish her success in her work at RLI!
