Data analysis and visualization

Data relating to the energy transition is complex and often difficult to understand. Obtaining and comparing data from different sources is a major challenge. This is especially challenging for spatial data and energy data, which are often available in different formats and under different licenses.

At RLI, we have been working successfully since 2010 on projects in which we prepare complex data and visualize it in an understandable way. As developers of the OpenEnergyModel (OEM) and experienced experts in data licensing, we offer tailor-made solutions for the analysis and visualization of data, especially in the field of renewable energy and sustainable mobility.

How can we help you? We use the most advanced methods for analyzing and visualizing energy data. These include:

Visualization of energy transition projects: We create understandable visualizations of projects to make their progress and impact transparent.

Visualization of spatial data: Using GIS-based analysis, we assess local resources and create spatial maps that show the opportunities and challenges of the energy transition.

Graphical processing of energy options: Complex options in the energy system are made easier to understand through clear graphics and simulations to support decision-makers.

Our work is based on the principles of open science to ensure transparency and traceability. By using open source technologies, we avoid redundancies, promote collaboration and ensure that public funding is used efficiently.
