Personal Information
Jan Timo Meyer has been a researcher in the Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy at the RLI since May 2021. Before, he was already working as a student assistant in the same Research Unit from January 2020 until the end of February 2021. His focus lies on the intelligent integration of flexible resources into energy systems based on renewable energy sources, particularly on developing software simulating electric vehicles within project Netz_eLOG and developing local energy markets within project BEST.
Timo holds a master’s degree in Computer Engineering at Technical University of Berlin, where he also completed his bachelor’s degree. In his master’s thesis he discussed the spatial-temporal optimized flexibility of charging for an electrified private individual transport in energy cells.
Apart from his work at RLI, he was also volunteering for Salsa4Water.
