Personal Information
Sabine Haas has been a researcher in the Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems since October 2018. Her scientific work focuses on the techno-economic modelling and optimisation of energy supply systems with a high share of renewable energy. As project leader of the research project GRECO she is working on the integration of different solar conversion technologies into the existing energy system and their evaluation in different energy supply scenarios. Her research interests also include open science and citizen science approaches in which the population participates.
Sabine was already a student assistant at RLI from November 2016 to April 2018, when she supported the open_FRED project. Sabine studied Regenerative Energy Systems (Master) and Energy and Process Technology (Bachelor) at the TU Berlin. In her Master thesis she developed a model for the calculation of feed-in time series of wind turbines and in her Bachelor thesis she dealt with the modelling and simulation of photovoltaic and wind turbines in Python.
