The “31st Symposium Photovoltaic Solar Energy” took place at Kloster Banz from 9th to 11th March. One day ahead a PV-Diesel-Hybrid Seminar has been conducted in collaboration with Fraunhofer ISE. During this seminar Philipp Blechinger, teamleader off-grid systems at the Reiner Lemoine Institut (RLI) presented a global analysis of potentials for hybrid mini-grids.
In addition, he demonstrated a new approach for electrification modelling along the example of Nigeria at the Symposium. For this example preliminary results of the ongoing RLI-project “Nigeria electrification” were applied.
