Berlin Energy Days 2025

27. May 2025, Berlin

Marie-Claire Gering, researcher in the Transformation of Energy Systems Research Unit at RLI, will present the RLI tool EmPowerPlan at the event “Digital Tools for the Energy Transition – Discover. Network. Apply”. The interactive tool builds a bridge between regional planning and the energy system and supports regional stakeholders in better understanding and shaping this transformation. The tool links a wide range of data, visualizes potential and allows the energy system to be optimized based on individual scenarios. In the Oderland-Spree region, it provides transparent, data-based support for updating the sub-regional plan for renewable energies. Thanks to open source and open data, it can be transferred to other regions.

At the event, experts will present various digital tools that contribute to supporting the energy transition. At a “market of opportunities”, each project will present a tool at a themed table. This gives participants the opportunity to delve deeper into the respective projects and exchange ideas.

The Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises (SenWEB) is organizing the event. In addition to the RLI tool, the Energy Atlas, the Berlin Energy Database and the EnergyMap Berlin will also be presented.

The Energy Days bring together over 500 speakers every year. Around 100 events, conferences and workshops are held, which are co-organized by various institutions from the energy, construction, housing, climate protection and environmental sectors.

The Energy Days are aimed at anyone interested in participating in the energy transition. Workshops and lectures are free of charge, but registration is required in advance.
