German Higher Education and Science Forum Central Asia
24. February 2026, Halle
Paul Bertheau, Head of Off-Grid Systems Research at RLI, will participate in the German Higher Education and Science Forum Central Asia and give a short lecture. Among other things, he will talk about RLI research collaborations in Central Asia, such as the Green HyRECA project . In this project, RLI established a research network together with partner organisations to investigate the potential of green hydrogen in a gaseous state in Central Asia.
The forum will take place at the headquarters of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina in Halle (Saale). The aim is to initiate a network of scientists and lecturers from German universities and research institutions who would like to maintain or establish cooperative relationships with the countries of Central Asia. The Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU) and the MLU Representative Office in Kazakhstan (CASIB) invite you to the two-day conference. The event is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) and the Project Management Agency (PT-DLR). For the kick-off event in 2026, the BMFTR is holding a special block of events on higher education and scientific cooperation with a focus on the Central Asian states.
