meccanica feminale

18. February 2025, Stuttgart

Martha Hoffmann, PhD-candidate at the Reiner Lemoine graduate school at the RLI, will lead a workshop at meccanica feminale on the lack of consideration of energy justice in energy system modeling.
The workshop “Energy System Modeling and Energy Justice – Incompatible Concepts?” will take place over three days from 18th until 20th February 2025. In addition to an introduction to energy system modeling, the workshop will focus on various concepts of justice. The participants will then be able to use these components to work on problems that they themselves perceive in the context of energy justice.
Prerequisites for participation are basic knowledge of energy systems and Python skills.

The meccanica feminale is a further education program for female students and experts from the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and other engineering sciences. Participants from other STEM subjects can also take part. The winter school gives participants the opportunity to learn more about current topics in small groups in one or three-day courses.
It is a project of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts.
