NFDI4Energy Conference

25. March 2025, Karlsruhe

Ludwig Hülk and Jonas Huber, researchers in the RLI Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems, will attend the NFDI4Energy conference at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology on behalf of RLI.

The NFDI4Energy Conference is a yearly event organized by the NFDI4Energy Consortium. The conference aims at bringing together the Energy Research Data Management Community, and fostering scientific discussion and work in this thematic area.

Ludwig and Jonas will contribute to the conference with a workshop entitled “Introduction of the OEO Foundry for Interoperable Ontologies in NFDI4Energy and the Energy Domain”. This will deal with the use of ontologies for the energy domain. The “Initiative for Interoperable Energy Ontologies (OEO Foundry)” will also be officially launched during the workshop.

Ontologies are used to organize and interpret large amounts of data. This is one of the topics of the project NFDI4Energy. Together with partner organizations, RLI scientists are building an infrastructure for research data from energy system analysis. These structures are intended to support relevant scientific workflows – from data collection and its integration into research software to data publication and knowledge transfer.

NFDI4Energy is a consortium under the umbrella of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), which is dedicated to building an open ecosystem for FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) research artifacts in interdisciplinary energy system research.
