oemof developer meeting 2026

The oemof developer meeting brings together open-source software developers. From September 23–25, the developers will meet in Bingen. Sarah Berendes and Stefanie Nguyen from the Transformation of Energy Systems research unit will attend the meeting on behalf of the RLI.

The oemof developers’ meeting takes place twice a year. At the meeting, developers present how they use the framework, collaborate on further developing oemof, and work on new tools.

The oemof (Open Energy Modelling Framework) modeling framework is a tool for modeling and analyzing energy systems. It is open-source software with a modular and flexible structure, allowing users to customize it to their specific needs.
