Lookback at the Energy Dialogue 2025 and the RLI Birthday Party
At the RLI Energy Dialogue 2025 on September 24, we discussed the future of energy policy and research and celebrated our institute’s 15th anniversary with many guests in Berlin – what a wonderful celebration!
One thing became very clear: 15 years of successful, independent, and non-profit energy research at RLI show how much can be achieved in implementing the energy transition with competence, commitment, motivation, and appreciation in a great team. We found the exchange with our friends and project partners motivating and are determined to continue working with them on the energy transition.
Here we summarize a few impressions and highlights from the wonderful day:
- Robert Busch from the German Federal Association of New Energy Economy, Arwen Colell from decarbon1ze, Patrick Graichen, former State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and Gesa Steeger from Correctiv discussed the topic “What guidelines does German energy policy need now?” on the podium. The discussion was moderated by RLI Managing Director Kathrin Goldammer.
- In the workshop “From development to practice – grid planning tools & energy system models in practical transfer,” participants discussed the hurdles and necessities of putting research results and tools into practice.
- Martha Hoffmann and Philipp Diesing from the Reiner Lemoine Kolleg provided insights into their doctoral theses on the topics of industrial transformation and energy justice.
- Glamour was also on display: Drag queen Viagra Falls impressively demonstrated how creativity can enrich climate communication and make the topic accessible to even more people.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to all the speakers, guests and partners who made this day so special!
