Personal Information
Juliane Arriens has been working at RLI since May 2021; since October 2022 she is Head of the Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy. She mainly focuses on the topic of sector coupling through hydrogen technologies, nationally and internationally. In recent years, Juliane has worked in business development in the field of alternative fuels for a service station company. She also worked as a consultant for international projects on e.g. the decarbonization of global transport routes.
Juliane earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Environmental Science and Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. In her master thesis, she identified the potential for hydrogen infrastructure hubs along federal waterways. Besides her work at RLI, she is involved as a tidal flat guide for the Dutch non-governmental organization for the protection of the Wadden Sea. Juliane is fluent in Spanish, Dutch and English.
