Personal Information
Mohsen Mansouri has been a researcher in the RLI Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems since October 2024. He focuses on energy system modeling and planning and analysis of distribution grids.
Mohsen’s professional background includes positions in various private companies in the energy and oil and gas. Among other things, he was student research assistant in the University of Flensburg and also worked on the OptIES project, which aimed to provide recommendations for optimal electrical and thermal energy supply from both regional and national prospectives.
Mohsen holds a Master in Energy and Environmental Management from University of Flensburg. His master thesis analyzed the role of grid-connected energy communities in Germany’s energy system. Mohsen also holds another master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering from Materials and Energy Research Center in Iran and his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Arak University in Iran. Mohsen speaks fluently Persian and English.
