Personal Information
Moritz Schlösser has been a researcher in the Transformation of Energy Systems research unit at RLI since January 2025. He deals with the implications of the energy transition for electricity grids. In order to answer the corresponding questions, he develops and applies calculation tools.
His professional background includes positions in public and private companies in the energy sector. Among other things, he worked as Senior Expert for Digital Technologies at the German Energy Agency (dena) and previously worked as a working student at umlaut energy GmbH.
Moritz completed both his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (specializing in energy technology) and his Master’s degree in automation technology at RWTH Aachen University. He wrote his theses on the control of wind turbine test benches (BA) and on distributed optimization in microgrids (MA).
Projects
Tools
eDisGo
The tool eDisGo helps to study the need for grid expansion in medium- and low-voltage networks and to evaluate electrical flexibilities as an alternative to grid expansion
