Final report on research project on the measurement of typical driving cycles in the field of electrical trade in Berlin (Arnhold et al. 2012)
Oliver Arnhold, Oliver Hoch, Oliver Wallner
In the electrical trade in Berlin, interest in using e-vehicles is growing. Berlin, as a large city with an environmental zone, is very suitable for the operation of e-vehicles. Vehicle manufacturers promise ranges of approx. 80 km to 130 km. The charging times of the batteries depend on the connected charging capacities and are given as approx. 4 to 12 hours. The extent to which electric vehicles can be used sensibly in the day-to-day operation of the electrical trade is currently unknown.
In this research project, RLI therefore investigated the current driving cycles in Berlin’s electrical trade.
