Load Flow Analysis of Micro Grids under the Influence of Renewable Energies and Electric Vehicles (Göbel 2015)
Robin Göbel
In this master thesis, the Micro Smart Grid on the EUREF Campus in Berlin Schöneberg is investigated with load flow analyses in Matpower with regard to the increasing expansion of renewable energies and the associated overload of the low-voltage grid.
Methods are being developed to determine the absorption capacity for renewable energies and electric vehicles under different operating strategies. In this way, grid bottlenecks are identified and their effect on absorption capacity is shown. The evaluation also shows possible problems due to the provision of reactive power with a high proportion of RE feed-in.
