Open-Source Workshop with Indonesian delegation
08 October 2019 | A workshop on open-source tools at the RLI took place on 02 October as part of a delegation trip from Indonesia. Katrin Lammers, who works in the RLI research area Off-Grid Systems, presented the open-source tools (oemof, excel tools) developed by the RLI. The open-source approach met with great interest among the participants. In addition, Katrin discussed in detail with the group the future relevance of energy systems that can withstand the consequences of climate change in the Southeast Asian context.
The delegation trip organised by the GIZ and the German Solar Association (BSW) was entitled “Decentralised energy system solutions and planning” and consisted of representatives of the GIZ Indonesia, two Indonesian solar associations and the Ministry of National Development Planning / National Planning Agency Indonesia. In addition to the RLI, the participants also visited the energy self-sufficient village Feldheim and the two energy storage companies Quinous and Autarsys.
