November 21st – 25th, 2022 | Online, Stellenbosch, Melbourne und Washington D.C.

Alexandra Krumm, a fellow at the Graduate School of the Reiner Lemoine Foundation, will give a presentation at the International Sustainability Transitions Conference (IST) on November 23. In her presentation, titled “Sociotechnical imaginaries of Just transition in India: Unlocking fragility and opportunities” Alexandra will talk about findings from a recent paper project she did with Rajeev Ranjan. In particular, it focuses on analyzing the different visions of just transition and how it affects power relations and existing and future (in) justice in coal regions in India.

IST is the central event of the international transition research community and is organized annually by various partners on behalf of the Sustainability Transitions Research Network (STRN). STRN comprises more than 1500 international researchers from various disciplines and publishes more than 500 papers in journals each year. The research network and the annual conference address the question of how the transition to sustainability can succeed through co-evolutionary change and innovation in socio-technical systems.
