Strommarkt meeting “H2-ready power plants in the context of power plant strategy”
2024-04-19 06:00:49
April 19th, Berlin
Andreas Christidis, researcher in the Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy at RLI, will give a short presentation at the upcoming “Strommarkt meeting” in Berlin.
The topic of his presentation is “H2-ready power plants in the context of power plant strategy”. Andreas will use a study to explain why the German government’s power plant strategy, i.e. the goal of building new hydrogen-capable gas-fired power plants that will be converted from natural gas to green hydrogen from 2035, is necessary. “How do you define H2-ready gas-fired power plants in this context and how can power plants be successfully converted to H2 operation?”- these are some of the questions that Andreas explores in his contribution.
The meeting is an open network of energy experts from science, politics and business. Meetings are held once a month on various topics such as energy industry research on modeling issues, energy policy and electricity market design. The meetings are open to the public and anyone who wishes to attend is welcome.
