Online conference “Hydrogen Technology Forum”
2024-04-23 06:14:04
April 23nd & 24th, online
Andreas Christidis, researcher in the Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy at RLI, will give a presentation at the online conference “Technikforum Wasserstoff” of the DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water).
The topic of his presentation is “H2-ready power plants in the context of power plant strategy”. Andreas will use a recent study to explain why the German government’s power plant strategy, i.e. the goal of building new hydrogen-capable gas-fired power plants that will be converted from natural gas to green hydrogen from 2035, is necessary. “How do you define H2-ready gas-fired power plants in this context and how can power plants be successfully converted to H2 operation?”- these are some of the questions that Andreas explores in his contribution.
The technology forum will provide an overview of the latest innovations, technologies and projects relating to hydrogen as a key building block for the energy transition in the industrial sector. With a view to the hydrogen derivative ammonia and its importance for the transportation of hydrogen, the two-day event will focus on the expansion of infrastructure, the numerous possibilities of H2 production and the large field of application technology.
