RLI Managing Director Kathrin Goldammer moderates this Agora Energiewende event on the benefits of household-related flexibilities for the electricity system. The event is entitled E-cars, heat pumps and home storage in action: utilising dormant potential with dynamic electricity prices and dynamic grid charges.

Wind and solar power plants will play a central role in the future electricity system and the energy transition. Only together with sufficient system flexibility can their fluctuating generation reliably cover a growing demand for electricity. At the event, the findings of Agora Energiewende’s current study “Utilising household flexibility – how electric vehicles, heat pumps and the like can reduce electricity costs for everyone” will be discussed and categorised with experts from the fields of regulation, consumer protection, energy supply and the manufacturing industry.

The results show: Household-related flexibilities can coordinate supply and demand very efficiently. They not only lower emissions, but also reduce the need for state subsidies and ultimately electricity prices for everyone.

The event will take place on site in Berlin and online via Zoom.
