Conference: Myanmar Off-Grid Renewable Energy Investment Forum

Catherina Cader, PhD candidate in the research field Off-Grid-Systems at RLI, will participate in the conference “ADB Myanmar Off-Grid Renewable Energy Investment Forum“. The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is hosting the conference under the ongoing technical assistance for its Off-Grid Renewable Energy Demonstration Project. The event will bring together the Government of Myanmar officials from the Department of Rural Development and the Ministry of Energy and Electricity, project developers, and investors. RLI has been working on a sub-project of the Myanmar Off-Grid Renewable Energy Demonstration Project.

Catherina has been invited as a speaker for two sessions, where she will present the “Geospatial Best Investment Plan“ and the “Geospatial Web-Mapping Tool“. Both instruments help to identify possible off-grid projects with renewable energy in Myanmar and support investors in their decision-making processes.
