September 28, 2023 | Dubrovnik, Croatia

On September 28, Philipp Diesing, a fellow at Reiner Lemoine Foundation’s Graduate School, will attend the Conference on Sustainable Development of Energy, Water and Environmental Systems (SDEWES). He will present current results of his research work.

In his presentation, he will speak on the topic of direct electrification and integration of green hydrogen in industrial processes. He has created a multi-criteria decision analysis and will explain the associated framework. His results highlight the advantages of direct electrification in high temperature applications. Philipp’s presentation is part of the agenda item “Decarbonisation and Efficiency of Energy and Water in Industry and Mining” and is entitled “Direct Process Electrification versus Green Electricity-based Hydrogen Technologies for the Defossilisation of Energy-intensive Industries: A systemic pathway comparison”.

At the 18th edition of the conference, participants will discuss the promotion and dissemination of knowledge, methods, strategies and technologies to increase sustainability. Other topics include the decoupling of growth from the use of natural resources and the transition to a knowledge-based economy.
