November 7th 2022 | Brussels

Juliane Arriens, researcher in the research unit Mobility with Renewable Energy at RLI, will moderate an event on “Saxony-Anhalt as a model region for green hydrogen” in Brussels on November 7. The discussion will be hosted by the Minister of Science, Energy, Climate Protection and Environment of Saxony-Anhalt, Armin Willingmann. The participants will discuss opportunities and challenges in the context of European energy and climate policy within the framework of the overarching theme.

Regulatory framework conditions are relevant for the transformation to sustainable hydrogen production and use. The requirements of European energy and climate policy therefore play an increasingly important role. Against this background, the current development will be presented using the example of three special hydrogen projects in Saxony-Anhalt. Afterwards, representatives from politics, business and science will discuss the European regulatory framework and the funding framework for the development of a green hydrogen economy in Saxony-Anhalt in a panel discussion.

Registrations are no longer possible.
