Virtual Conference

Kathrin Goldammer, Managing Director of the RLI, will represent the institute at the virtual conference “Finding Ada Conference” and give a Ignite Talk on the theme of policy and advocacy.

The “Finding Ada Conference” is a fully online global conference for women working in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) and advocates for gender equality. It features a variety of talks, workshops and Q&As to watch live or in catch-up later.

In her talk, Kathrin will introduce measures to achieve gender equality in a STEM field on example of the “Women’s Breakfast Club”, that takes place regularly at RLI. She will explain why RLI introduced this meeting, who is participating and how the event has developed over time.

The “Finding Ada Conference” takes place in context of “Ada Lovelace Day”, which is an international celebration of the achievements of women in STEM. The aim is to increase the profile of women in STEM and, in doing so, create new role models that will encourage more girls into STEM careers and support women already working in STEM.

Further information, as well as the possibility of free registration are available on the website of the “Finding Ada Conference”.
