Hackathon: „Energyhack“

RLI Managing Director Kathrin Goldammer will supports the this year’s hackathon hosted by the Open Knowledge Foundation Germany in cooperation with Stromnetz Berlin as a keynote speaker. The hackathon themed “Energyhack – it’s your choice“ calls upon young developers, designers, researchers and innovative masterminds to come up with ideas, create hardware prototypes, and develop apps within 24 hours. Kathrin will deliver a speech titled “Transparency for innovation” as input for session 1 “Data policy: Transparency and chances or surveillance society and new risks?” on September 22nd at 3:30 p. m..
The hackathon is taking place for the third time this year and focuses on open energy data. Key questions are, how energy can be distributed and how information can be exchanged between users and producers of power. The hackathon is also part of the research project WindNODE, where RLI is a partner.
