Intersolar Europe

7. May 2025, München

Philipp Blechinger, head of the unit Off-Grid Systems at RLI, will moderate the session Off-Grid: Digitalisation for Scaling Off-Grid Projects at the Intersolar Europe conference and give a presentation entitled ‘Optimizing Island Energy Systems: Modeling Hydrogen Integration in the Asia-Pacific’. This will focus on findings from the two RLI projects Green-H2Islands and H2-Pacific-Islands.

In the session, RLI guest scientist Bachirou Djibo Boubé will  also give a lecture entitled “Illuminating Rural West Africa: AI-Driven Demand Modeling for Sustainable Energy Access”.

In this part of the conference, experts will talk about how digitalization is revolutionizing off-grid energy projects and enabling scalability and efficiency in underserved areas. Participants will discuss innovative solutions that use digital tools to optimize planning, development and operation and thus improve financial viability.

As the world’s leading trade fair for the solar industry, Intersolar Europe reflects the enormous market dynamics of the solar industry. At the event, experts will exchange views on markets, technologies and financing of PV projects. In addition to market developments in Europe, the focus is on individual markets every year. Another focus is on PV power plants and large-scale plants, especially with regard to Agri-PV and Floating PV.
