Virtual Event

Martha Hoffmann, researcher in the RLI Research Unit Off-Grid Systems, is representing the RLI at a digital workshop on E-LAND tools. The workshop will be hosted by the E-LAND Consortium on September 30. In the E-LAND project, RLI is working together with 13 project partners to develop a toolbox for the low-carbon and climate-resistant transition of energy systems, which considers technical, social, and economic aspects equally. In particular, it deals with the energy supply of so-called Energy isLANDs: These are electrotechnical island systems that can supply themselves as self-sufficiently as possible.

The workshop is titled “Facilitating Local Multi-Vector Energy Systems with the E-LAND toolbox”. Martha will present the tool developed by the RLI at the workshop. The goal of the workshop is to identify exploitation opportunities for the technical tools and to get feedback on them. The event is also intended to provide general communication with a broader audience and stakeholders. The workshop is primarily targeted towards energy communities/cooperatives, ESCOs, Facility managers/owners, harbors, software/middleware companies, energy solution turnkey providers, and research institutions.

The workshop will take place in the framework of the hybrid EU event Sustainable Places (SP2021). For members of the consortium and specific stakeholder innovation groups of the project, there are (limited) free tickets to attend the workshop and the whole event. Sustainable Places is taking place for the ninth time this year and topics related to the sustainability of buildings will be discussed.
