Oemof User Meeting
11. February 2026, Nordhausen
The next Oemof User Meeting will take place from February 11 to 13 at the Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. Oemof is an open-source tool used to model and analyze various energy systems. RLI scientists developed it together with other partner organisations.
At the meeting, RLI experts Manuel Wahl, student assistant in the research area Mobility with Renewable Energies and Sarah Berendes, research assistant from the research area Transformation of Energy Systems, will exchange ideas with other experts in energy system modeling about possible applications of Oemof.
Manuel will give a presentation on the current status of the ENETRA project and address the challenges involved, among other things. In this project, RLI scientists are investigating how inland ports such as BEHALA Westhafen in Berlin can manage the transition to a sustainable energy system with 100% renewable energies. To this end, they are developing the Energy Transformation Assistant, a web-based tool for analysing and planning modern energy concepts for inland ports.
The event is aimed at people who are already using or developing oemof, as well as new users.
