The first Open Source in Energy Access Symposium will serve as a hub that emphasises transparency, innovation, interoperability and collaboration. Open source technologies and tools have been an integral part of the energy access landscape for some time – but it is only recently that practitioners and organisations have begun to demonstrate their benefits.
The event is aimed at academics, researchers, entrepreneurs and companies in the clean energy sector, NGOs, civil society, decentralised renewable energy companies, donors, global policy makers, government agencies, open source enthusiasts, members of the open source community, technology innovators and other interested parties.
