S-@ccess – International Conference on Solar Technologies and Hybrid Mini Grids

Several scientists from the RLI research area Off-Grid Systems will give presentations, provide inputs and participate in workshops at the 5th International Conference on Solar Technologies and Hybrid Mini-grids to Improve Energy Access, the “S-@ccess Conference”.
The three-day program will cover a wide range of topics, including sustainable cooling, solar cooking, village empowerment, policy and regulations, design and technology, capacity building, technical innovation, best practices, microfinance for mini-grid customers and more.
RLI experts will contribute to the event with the following presentations:
Clara Neyrand, researcher, together with partners from the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Energy and Affordable Energy for Humanity (AE4H), will organize and host the session “Energy Access Innocation Lab” on Sept. 4.
Paula Preuß, researcher, will give the presentation “Empowering Communities for Sustainable Energy Transition in Nigeria” on September 5.
“The Role of Green Hydrogen Technology as Seasonal Storage for Island Electrification – Case Studies from the Pacific Islands” is the title of the presentation on September 5 by Katrin Lammers, researcher.
The input on 5.9. by Avia Linke, researcher, is “Energy for tomorrow: Scaling energy access with digital solutions”.
In addition, the RLI project “OptiMG: Optimization of integrated mini-grids for water-energy-food” will be presented in parallel sessions.
