November 17th 2017 | Berlin

Caroline Möller, researcher in the field Transformation of Energy Systems, will give a presentation titled „Sensitivity of storage applications and storage requirements in regenerative power supply scenarios with regard to weather data“ at the upcoming Strommarkttreffen at TU Berlin. This work is part of the open_FRED project, in which RLI is developing an open data base for renewable energy data together with several partners. In context of this project, Ronny Petrik researcher at the Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht, will present his work on the „Generation of consistent weather data in 3D and their quality“.

The Strommarkttreffen is an open network of energy experts, researchers, policy makers, and business representatives. The meetings take place once a month in alternating locations and focus on very different subjects such as grids, market design, or climate policy. They feature presentations from the various participants and the upcoming topic is “Weather Data”. New members and guests are always welcome!

Please find the current agenda and the opportunity to register on the Strommarkttreffen’s website (in German).
