Paul Bertheau wins Science Slam

Paul Bertheau, researcher in the Off-Grid Systems research group at Reiner Lemoine Institute, has won first place at the Science Slam of the 2nd Stakeholder Forum of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP). The Science Slam took place on May 17th 2016 in context of the 2nd AEEP Stakeholder Forum at Politecnico Milano.

Twelve finalists, selected from 150 applicants, presented their research from the field „energy access“ in short but precise talks to the audience. Paul Bertheau convinced the jury with his presentation “Bringing people out of darkness: Electrification priority plan for Nigeria” in which he explained how RLI’s research is contributing to bringing sustainable energy to households, currently not supplied by electricity grids.
