Personal Information

Andreas Christidis has been a researcher in the RLI Research Unit Mobility with Renewable Energy since April 2022. He focuses on the potential and technical applications of hydrogen, develops models and analyzes energy systems.

Andreas’s professional background includes positions in the scientific and private domain of the energy sector. As a research associate at the Institute of Energy Engineering of TU Berlin, he was active in teaching and research. In several industry and research projects, he carried out energy system analyses with a focus on energy storage and sector coupling. After completing his doctorate, Andreas worked in project development at Vattenfall Wärme Berlin.

Andreas holds a PhD in Energy Engineering from TU Berlin. His dissertation deals with „thermal storages for district heating applications“. He received his diploma degree in Energy and Process Engineering from TU Berlin and speaks fluently German, Greek and Englisch.
