As part of the RLI research project open_BEA, the final workshop on “Grid integration of electromobility and stationary storage – potentials and challenges” will take place on November 8th. Birgit Schachler, researcher in the RLI Research Unit Transformation of Energy Systems and project manager of open_BEA, will represent RLI at the workshop.
The main focus of the open_BEA research project was to investigate the necessary grid expansion and conversion needs in the German power grid resulting from the Energy Transition. For this purpose, open-source battery models for different stationary and mobile battery technologies were developed. During the workshop, the project results will be presented and possible future research topics will be discussed. This will include input presentations from practitioners and regulators.
